Comics: Death note 10-12, Tsugumi Ōba & Takeshi Obata

Comic manga death note book cover

10: Deletion

4/5

Although it is a bit slow, it prepares the terrain in a very interesting way for the last two. Distrust has been sown and Light is cornered again, but as always, he had anticipated the movements of Near and Mello and prepared everything so that they would not find any clues. However, his pupet begins to act on his own and to make unfortunate decisions … leading him to think that maybe he has made the final mistake. But, of course, we have a new twist that puts emotion back into the story.

11: Kindred spirits

5/5

It starts to get interesting again in this penultimate volume. We see how the two opposites prepare their scenario, anticipating what their adversary thinks and trying everything to be favorable by placing the pieces as it suits them (or removing them from the middle). The most curious thing is that both are so convinced that they are the winners before the final showdown, that if you read it for the first time, you don’t know who the winner will be. Also, there is an unexpected twist right at the end of the volume that leaves you wanting more.

12: Finis

5/5

I’ll be brief for fear of spoilers, and that’s the final volume, and I can only say that it’s fantastic. Not only because it happens what I wanted to happen but by how the whole final meeting and how the unforeseen turn that happened previously and raised in the previous volume takes place. The only downside is that the last piece, after everything happens, becomes a little boring.
